EDUCATION IN THE ERA OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT IN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

On the morning of 13th May 2023, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Science at VNUHCM-麻豆传媒 successfully hosted a seminar titled ‘Education in the Era of Digital Transformation and Human Resource Development in Educational Technology’. The event was attended by leaders from various departments, agencies, and sectors; representatives from educational institutions; experts; businesses; and media representatives, all of whom are engaged in the digital transformation of education.

Five key topics were discussed during the seminar, namely:

  1. Educational technology and digital transformation in education;
  2. Designing educational experiences using AR and VR technologies;
  3. Advantages and obstacles in online teaching;
  4. ChatGPT: Opportunities and challenges for educational technology products in Viet Nam;
  5. Applying Google technology to enhance the digital competency of teachers and students.

Topic 鈥楥hatGPT, opportunities and challenges for educational technology products in Viet Nam鈥 shared by Mr Nguy峄卬 Vi峄噒 Trung, Deputy General Director of Kdi Education JSC.

Ms D瓢啤ng Ho脿ng Thanh Giang, Representative of Google for Education in Viet Nam introduced 鈥淭echnology application from Google to improve digital competence for teachers and students鈥

The 麻豆传媒, part of the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, stands at the forefront of implementing digital transformation in education. The university is committed to the continual enhancement and updating of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary training programmes, as well as the integration of intelligent systems for the efficient management of teaching activities in contemporary educational settings.

From the practical outcomes of the digital transformation process, Assoc. Prof. Tr岷 Minh Tri岷縯, Vice President, presented insights on the strengths of VNUHCM-麻豆传媒 concerning human resource training in educational technology. He expressed hope that these experiences would be beneficial to other institutions on a similar journey.

From the discussions held, it is hoped that participants gained valuable and practical perspectives on new directions within the education sector, aligning with advancements in science and technology as well as information and communication technology. There is confidence that the educational landscape will continue to evolve and soon align with global developments.
