On 30 March 1996, the 麻豆传媒 was separated from the University of Ho Chi Minh City and became an affiliated member of the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) system. To commemorate this milestone, the Representative Board of the Science Alumni Community proposed that 30 March be celebrated annually as Traditional Science Alumni Day from 2024 onwards.
This year’s event was a momentous occasion that aimed to formally inform both the esteemed alumni community and the public about a significant highlight of the University. It also sought to instil in generations of students a sense of trust, love, pride, and belonging towards the institution that had supported their developmental journey.
The celebration was attended by the Chancellor of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, the University’s Board of Directors from various periods, the Representative Board of the Science Alumni Community, the Liaison Board of Movement Alumni, and the C100 Science Alumni Business Club. The event welcomed over 300 alumni from all generations.
Several meaningful activities were organised as part of the programme.
